We at Bleaglee specialize in the disposal of waste and are frequently relied upon to provide commercial waste disposal services, but now is a good time to consider what happens after you toss away trash from your own house.

You prepare a bowl of cereal and a drink of orange juice for yourself and the kids as you sit down to breakfast. You read the final few pages of a magazine while eating and drinking tea. You empty the milk carton, cereal box, and magazine into the trash while cleaning up the breakfast dishes. Unintentionally, you knock the tea cup off the table, breaking glass on the ground.Once the glass shards have been collected, they are also put in the trash can. You pour hot tea into a Styrofoam travel cup before heading out the door. When the last drop is consumed, the cup will be discarded in the trash can at your workstation. You won’t think about any of those things again once you leave the trash at the door to be picked up.

What happens to magazines, milk cartons, cereal boxes, glasses, and Styrofoam cups once they are used for what they were designed for? Following collection, waste usually makes its way to one of three locations: a landfill, an incinerator, or a recycling facility. Depending on the type, decomposition of waste disposed of in landfills can take hundreds of years. For instance, it may take up to a thousand years for the plastic milk bottle to degrade. In a landfill it can take up to 500 years for the glass from the broken tea cup to decompose, and in water it can take even longer. The magazine will disintegrate in about six weeks because paper breaks down quite quickly. Styrofoam never breaks down. if interred in a landfill it will remain on Earth forever.

Reuse and recycle
The majority of packaging from daily products, including anything thrown away after breakfast, can be recycled. Recycling decreases the quantity of garbage dumped in landfills, and the resources gathered are put to use in the production of new goods. Collected waste is sent to a recycling facility, where a huge machine separates it. Bales or packages of paper, plastic, metal, and glass are sent to producers who will use the raw materials to make new items like pizza boxes and paper cups.

Over one tonne of rubbish is generated annually by the typical residence. There must be a place for all that rubbish. People now find it simpler to take advantage of chances for reduction, reuse, and recycling thanks to waste management programs.
